The Design Residency

A house tells you what it needs once you have lived in it: what the light does at five o'clock, how the floor sounds at night, how long the walk to the coffee feels in socks, where a guest sets the bag down on arrival.

So we come and stay. Svetlana, Jon and Dr. Robert spend three midweek days in your property as guests: the arrival, the light through the day, the sounds at night, the first morning. Then we design from what the place actually is.

What you receive

• A full sensory plan for the property, drawn from three days inside it
• Two to three designed signature spaces
• Two to four curated guest offers
• A closing session to walk through all of it, and everything filed in your workspace

Who it is for

The host near Philadelphia who wants the studio's eyes and hands on the property itself, in three days: a plan drawn from living in the place.

How it runs

1. Your application: a few short questions about your property, most of them a tap.
2. If we are a fit, a call with Svetlana, to talk through the three days and the dates that could work.
3. Your proposal, two days after the call, with anything beyond the fee named. When you are ready, a deposit of half the fee secures your dates, paid in your workspace; the proposal says when the rest is due.
4. Three midweek days on site.
5. The design, then a closing session to deliver it.

What it asks of you

• A property in the Philadelphia metropolitan area
• Three midweek days when we can live in it as guests
• A welcome for Dr. Robert, the cat, who comes with us
